Make Tai Chi Part of Your Health Routine

Tai Chi Chuan originated in ancient China as a Martial Art. Tai Chi has been practiced in China for thousands of years and now this Mind-Body practice is widely known in the West for its many health benefits.

Tai Chi incorporates gentle, flowing movements into a slow, graceful form of elegant exercise. At Rising Sun Martial Arts Academy we highly recommend this ancient practice as a regular part of your routine for overall health and well-being.

Due to the low impact nature of Tai Chi, it can be easily adapted for anyone from the fittest to people recovering from surgery. It is challenging enough for those in peak physical health and simple enough for those with serious physical challenges.

Unleash the Inner Power of Chi

At Rising Sun Martial Arts Academy, we practice the Tung Ying Jie Taiji Legacy or "Yang style" of Tai Chi as taught by the Dong family. Yang style, one of five recognized styles of Tai Chi, is the most practiced form in the world today.

Tai Chi uses the internal power of Chi or Qi, an energy force that flows throughout the body. Unblocking and encouraging the proper flow of Chi allows the improved flow of energy leading to greater awareness, tranquility, and overall sense of wellbeing.
